Babazeka - A socially aware online store

This project was started when Martha Letsoala's son died unjustly in prison. Together with a friend, Julie, the two started Heartfelt to mend Martha's broken heart. Each heart is a symbol of her love for her son, filled with her story and with hope. Martha is a strong woman of Africa, as are all the women employed by the project, each with their own heartfelt story.

The Heartfelt Project employs ten ladies who work together to create products that are uniquely South African. As the project grows, the aim is to employ many more women – and to reach out to their community.

Proceeds from each heart go directly to the ladies as well as to help fight TB, HIV & AIDS and other socio-economic problems in their community by donating a portion of each sale to a local charity.
