Litsemba
Litsemba, meaning ‘hope’, is a hand-embroidery business supporting rural women in Swaziland. All profits are reinvested into Litsemba and the women it represents.
Founded in 2006 as a Christian social enterprise, Litsemba assists more than 120 women in impoverished areas of Swaziland to improve their quality of life through the production of beautiful and unique hand-embroidery, including shoppers, aprons and blocks for customers to sew up themselves.
Litsemba's embroidery is a home-based activity that assists a growing number of women to support themselves through the production of quality crafts and art pieces.
