Paper Prayers is a project that involves both rural and urban communities in all nine provinces in South Africa. Their products are hand-sewn and embroidered by a number of different groups involved with the project.

The Paper Prayers Campaign has a beautiful purpose of “creating a supportive environment in which people gain awareness of HIV / AIDS, produce an artistic gesture of compassion and healing in each paper prayer, and learn useful skills towards financial empowerment”
